My ceramic work weaves together objects and images that are culled from personal memories, art history, domestic interiors, and urban environments. My focus is on the metaphorical possibilities of the figure and the objects in our everyday world. Through the work, I raise questions about the nature of human relationships, the need for security, our methods of communication, the search for identity. I strive to create work with an intimate sense of presence.
